About the association

What is KTC?

KTC stands for Association of Technical Directors in Danish Local Authorities (in Danish, Kommunalteknisk Chefforening).

KTC wants to be the leading force for the technical sector in the Danish municipalities as well as create the framework for scientific debate and knowledge which promotes development.

At KTC, we consider it to be a matter of great importance to ensure that our community has a high standard when it comes to construction, spatial planning, housing, nature, water, environment, roads, traffic and supply.

Who is KTC for?

KTC is an association for technical directors in local authorities in Denmark, and at this stage the association is represented by members from all 98 municipalities in Denmark.

KTC has a strong professional ballast from the work in the municipalities regarding construction, spatial planning, housing, nature, water, environment, roads, traffic and supply.

KTC represents directors and member of the management levels in all technical departments in the Danish municipalities, as well as managers of companies fully owned by the Danish municipal authorities (i.e. waste water companies and other suppliers of public services).

What does KTC do?

KTC helps set the agenda in the abovementioned areas. The goal is always to find solutions that can inspire both in Denmark and foreign countries.

KTC is a formal partner to the Association of Municipalities. In this aspect, we offer assistance by commenting on drafts of legislation.

We also organize conferences and publish a highly esteemed magazine called Teknik & Miljø, which is important for our association. The magazine is delivered to all our members and relevant people who benefit from the professional knowledge in the articles.

KTC is proud of the work we do – but we’re even more proud of the digital networking that KTC.dk offers. Here, the professional and scientific knowledge is shared across the nation, which creates better solutions and inspires others.
